One Campbell, Thankful and Condensed

Background

Allison Campbell: On December 1, 2010 I began a "Journey of Thanks" to the Lord for the little gifts He has blessed me with. I had come to a point in life where I had everything planned out, but the Lord chose to change all of my plans! I noticed myself getting discouraged and frustrated, and discontent with where I was. This is when I was challenged to set a goal to blog one thing I was thankful for every day- till I reached day 365. Well, that time has come, and the journey is going to continue. I can't tell you how much it has helped me over the last year to purposefully look for ways God was blessing me. I came to see that despite how I felt, I had a God who loved me deeply and was caring for me in a special way. 1 Thess 5:18-- "Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you." A heart of thanks to God is acknowledging that He is in control. It's acknowledging that He is sovereign, good, that all He does is good. A thankful heart is, I believe, one of the most important factors in an intimate relationship with Christ. I encourage you to start your own "Journey of Thanks" and come alongside as we praise our Provider for the gifts He gives us daily!
