This week the Schrecengosts have been visiting and we have had the BEST time! Today we went to the Botanical gardens to feed the ducks and fish, then we went to the Clemson Airport. What a fun day!

LOVE this flower... it's the simple things in life that get me.
Thankful for a God who creates such little forms of beauty!

Daniel and Titus were best buds!

So much fun getting to know Amy and her family!

It was exciting watching the planes come in! There was an ultra light plane practicing take-off's
and landings. That was pretty fun to watch!

Heading home after a looong day at work! ;)
Fun day!

One of my favorite meals is hot pot... Chinese style. I have several incredible friends from China who have had me over for hot pot a few times and tonight I wanted to return the favor. Tingting and I ran to the Asian supermarket (with Carli Sierad :)) today and picked up the goods, and tonight we had about 10 girls over to hang out... and eat. :) (always, ALWAYS food involved when girls hang out- make no mistake!)

Tofu in various forms... delicious!
Steph and Tingting
Love this picture... shows the personality. Lisa is just calm and poised- beautiful and classy, and then there's Zhixin who is just as adorable as can be with chop sticks coming out of her ears.... typical :)

SO thankful Bohua could join us, and of course Sylvia-- all the way
from El Salvador. :) She is such a sweet lady and I'm glad she could
experience traditional Chinese food :) THANKS TO TINGTING for helping
put everything together!!!
Sylvia conquering chop sticks :)
I just love this lady!
We had a spicy soup and a not-spicy soup to boil our veggies and tofu in... THIS was
definitely the spicy one, and boy did it leave your eyes watering!

This is most of us.... I know, I know... You are thinking- THAT was a TON of food for only about 10 people...
Granted.

The feast is ready!
Thankful for Tingting and Zhixin... and Steph, Bohua, Sylvia, Carli, Morgan, Tansey, Ivy, Lisa. . . and of course my incredible parents for allowing us to use their kitchen! :)

God has blessed me with great friends from all over the world. Who would have guessed I'd learn such unique culture in little ole' Clemson?! :) What a GREAT day.

Got to spend my evening in Greenville with Katherine, Andrew, Abby, Aunt Resa, Sarah Lou and Jon... and OF COURSE, little Calvin. He is just perfect.
I just want to keep him little forever....
We have big plans for this little guy. We are thinking quarterback, but haven't quite decided yet. :) Love him!

SO... we love playing sports around here, and today we invented a new form of baseball! Worked out pretty well after a few tips from Boppa. :)

Gettin' in ready position... bend those knees boy!
Every time he would swing his mouth opened and eyes closed... I think that
might be a Campbell gene...
GOT one!
Oops, missed that one!
"Alright Boppa, show me how it's done!"
Victory!

Encouraged. Eric preached through Revelation 5 this morning which is one of my favorite passages of Scripture. I've never heard it taught through, so that was pretty exciting.

As anybody who knows me would attest, I love life. I enjoy so many things in life.... BUT I am looking forward to the day when with all of creation we are sitting in the presence of God worshiping HIM.

Rev 5:11-14

Then I looked, and I heard around the throne and the living creatures and the elders the voice of many angels, numbering zmyriads of myriads and thousands of thousands, 12 saying with a loud voice,
a“Worthy is the Lamb who was slain,
to receive power and wealth and wisdom and might
and honor and glory and blessing!”
13 And I heard bevery creature in heaven and on earth and under the earth and in the sea, and all that is in them, saying,
“To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb
be blessing and honor and glory and might forever and ever!”
14 And the four living creatures csaid, “Amen!” and the elders dfell down and worshiped.

Pretty powerful. Something to be thankful for and excited about!

Well, what a great day!

First of all, ran the streets of Clemson at 4:30am with Zhixin, Sarah, Jon, Timothy and James. 18 smiles... which started off with a walk onto the field at Death Valley. When we ran by the stadium one of the gates was opened, and after we begged they allowed us to step onto the field. Pretty exciting way to start a long run. The stadium was in full lights- scoreboard was lit and all!

THEN, of course, Clemson played FSU. What an exciting/stressful game! I think Death Valley was louder than I've heard it in a LONG time when we sacked their quarterback on the fourth down with a little over a minute left in the 4th quarter. SO exciting!

We had a great time tailgating before the game... Little D stole the show again (as usual). Missed Rach and Matt, Benton and Kathryn. Can't wait to have them here for the next home game!!

So glad Wyatt and Adam, Brooke and Jonathan could come by! :)

We had an extra ticket so Daniel stood on the corner holding up the ticket to sell...
he was successful!

Precious little tiger fan!

Love this girl... I used to babysit her when she was a baby. Where does time fly?

The Bundricks sold programs before the game and they stopped by for a little bit.
What great neighbors... family... love them!

Alright... let's go see those TIGERS PLAY!

Getting ready for tomorrow's tailgate...

We love Rach Sute's recipe for pumpkin cookies! :)

Daniel wanted to help me frost them...

Little D's creation... I think there might be an artistic mind in that child! ;)

Mmm.... time to EAT the cookie we just frosted!!

"Shhh- don't tell mommy!"

Just a little more sugar then I will be ready for NAP TIME!
(no lie, he went down for a nap RIGHT after this! :))
Gotta love a good, productive Friday in the office! ;)

Calvin Kendall Bougie

I never thought I'd be this old. My best friend from birth had her first little baby today-- and this honorary Auntie Alli is pretty excited!!! OH he is beautiful and well worth the wait! :)

SO THANKFUL for the gift of life. Little Calvin was born at 7:39pm... he was 7lb 14oz and was 20.5 inches long. I equate waiting for his birth to waiting to ride BATMAN at 6-flags. Abby Arblaster and I anxiously arrived at the hospital at noon, and sure enough we were still waiting at 10:40pm to meet the little guy. Of course we finally got our first peek at 10:45 which lasted just a few short minutes, but was SO WORTH THE WAIT! (and I'm going back to visit tomorrow!)  On the same token, we get up early to go to Six Flags, wait anxiously in line for 10 hours to ride BATMAN, FINALLY enjoy the ride for 30 seconds, then walk away saying-- "THAT WAS AWESOME... LET'S COME BACK TOMORROW!" :)

That's how I felt!

This little boy has NO IDEA how many people are already in love with him. What a gift to know that he has such loving parents. I'm so excited that God has blessed Katherine and Andrew with this little boy, and look forward to many exciting times ahead. If you follow my blog you are sure to see Chick-fil-A dates with Daniel and Calvin to follow. :)

Beautiful little baby boy with a head full of HAIR! I'll try to take pictures tomorrow that
show the hair! It's too cute!!!

Thankful for the miracle of life!

Tonight I spent three hours at Starbucks in Clemson catching up with an old and dear friend who I haven't seen in about a YEAR (though we live in the same city). :) I am so thankful for Leigh Herran and her friendship!! We're going to start studying at Moe Joe's every Wednesday morning around 8am and I can't wait... thankful for Starbucks... and Leigh!

Power Group... man, it's so encouraging. Had dinner tonight and it was fabulous (thanks Steph Richardson for making the casserole), then Tingting shared with us about her walk with Jesus and how the Spirit has drawn her. What an encouragement to know that the same Spirit that drew her all the way in China is the same Spirit living inside each believer. God is big. He's awesome!

I cannot tell you the encouragement the Lord has brought through my power group. It's been such a blessing getting to know each of the girls-  They each have such a passion to grow and a desire to know God. . .  I feel so blessed to be a part of this little family  and am thankful for the accountability, encouragement, etc. that they are to me!

We like to have fun. :)
Madison... so thankful for her! And the fact that she took time out of her crazy life to come...
praying for her as she prepares for a big exam (that's she's going to knock out of the PARK)!
Chef Stephanie Richardson :)
Sweet Caralee :)... SO glad she could make it this week!
Tingting
Maegan Pitts :)
mmmm... as I post this I'm hungry again!

The reason I'm putting all of the pictures up of them serving their food is... they made so much fun of me for taking all of these pictures.  When you make fun of Allison, she posts your pictures on her blog. :) That's just how it works!

LOVE these girls!! Thankful for the reality of Christ that is displayed so clearly through each one of their lives. What an encouragement!

So I'm cheating.... but TODAY I'm thankful for Friday (again)... and the fact that the ChickfilA of Clemson serves orange ice cream! Friday night Daniel, Mom, Carrie and I went to Chic to enjoy this DELICIOUS treat, and then little D and I went to a Clemson volleyball game with friends. What a great night. Thankful for the weekends. :) Also, thankful for today- Sunday. Time to stop and relax and worship God with other believers. :)

We beat Auburn.... how exciting!!

Daniel doesn't quite understand how to play corn hole yet....

Maybe a future quarterback..... hmmmm?

After a while these games exhaust you!

After the game I went to Tigerpark with Blake, Jeanie, Katie and co. Lots of fun... and
Outshine was playing, so it was fun to hear them!
All in all... a great day. Love LOVE fall Saturdays in Clemson!
