Introducing.... our Pinterest craft!

It took many man hours and lots of hands, but Mom, Carrie and I completed our task.

THIS is our goal... cappuccino and mocha cupcakes filled with mousse, topped with deeelicious frosting... :)

Getting ready to put the mousse filling inside...

The true test... will the boys like them?

Benton and Daniel both approved!

Little Kathryn found a little dollup of icing that had fallen on the floor. That little girl... boy oh boy!

Encouraged today once again-- prayer meeting at Crosspoint for CoExist and then Bible study. Encouraged tonight through Philippians 2...

So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

(Philippians 2:1-11 ESV)

Thankful for the example we see in Christ: Humility. Convicted.

Thankful that God is so kind. Thankful that He is our loving Father and that He takes care of us. He's our Shepherd.

Psalm 23 has become a Psalm of comfort to me over the years. Last week my cousin was in town and we were talking about the concept of the Lord being our shepherd. Just as a shepherd cares and protects his flock, my Father is doing the same for me. He is my shepherd, protecting me, guiding me, providing for me, pursuing me when I've wandered away.

So thankful that today one of my sisters is with that Great Shepherd. Thankful that though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we don't have to fear death because our security is in CHRIST and what He did for us on the cross. Thankful that Heather is now dwelling in the presence of her Love, her Creator, the One who knows the plan He had and will continue to have for her life and the legacy she has left behind.

Thankful that it isn't death to die, but it's truly the beginning of eternity in the PRESENCE of Jesus. I know I've shared this song many many times, but the truths are penetrating. Listen through this and praise Jesus with me for Christ. Praise Him that Heather is now free from pain and is in the presence of OUR Great Shepherd.

Thank you, Jesus.

Please pray with us for Kevin Burrill and their two little boys as they go through the grieving process. Pray for wisdom and strength, comfort, peace, and that God's reality will be ever present.

WEDDING DAY!!! So thankful for God's provision in both Rach and Will's lives. It's so neat to be in Ft. Worth to walk through this day with Rach. We've shared so many memories over the years as she has spent quite a bit of time living with us in Clemson. We've gone through some pretty tough heartbreak together, and it is just so NEAT to see how God has provided WILL for Rach (and vice versa), and to see how faithful God has been to Rach through all of the ups and downs.

I feel so blessed to be standing by Rachel today. So thankful for her and honored to share in her day.

I'd say that it was a BEAUTIFUL day for a wedding!!!

Rach's friend Haley Mitchell did her hair for the wedding and did a BEAUTIFUL job!

Everybody getting ready! Thankful for that Katrina girl!

Woot woot! Brush those pearly whites, Sarah Lou!

Will sent Rach a letter and a plant. This is Rach's favorite flower- so sweet!

Beautiful hydrangeas!

Lisa and Sarah- friends of Rach's from Ohio. It was SO GREAT to see them again after so many years.
Sarah and I met them a LONG time ago when we went to visit Rach.
Love them!

Almost time to get in THE DRESS!

I loved this picture. The flower girl was twirling around-- and Rach was just watching.
So relaxed and so excited!! AND LOOK AT HER HAIR! Beautiful!

Carrie helping the flower girl get dressed. Carrie
was SO helpful and finished a lot of last minute details. She saves the day always!

Beautiful! How many people does it take to fasten a wedding dress?!!

Love love!!! Thankful for these two ladies!

Rach had a candy table and it was SO cute!!!!

Beautiful cake! (though I forgot to eat a piece... too busy dancing!)

Matt, Rach, Kathryn and Benton were all able to make it for the wedding!!!

:)

Aunt Carol is so beautiful! Here we all are trying to pass the last few minutes!!!
Thankful for this day... more pictures to come.... :)

So we have been busy busy around this Dallas area. Dad, Mom, Sarah and I have been staying with  Monroe and Katie and have had just the best time!!!  We've spent a good portion of our time on the road since the wedding is in Ft. Worth. It's not too far of a drive, but you never know how traffic is going to factor in. A 45 minute drive can VERY quickly become a 1 1/2 hour TREK! So thankful to be in town for one of Rachel's showers... and it was just beautiful!!!
Hannah (maid of honor) and Sarah (bridesmaid)

Ellie's first girly shower... ;)

Mmmm.... these types of touches are so much fun!!!

Love the shades!

There were little bouncy balls all around- the lady who threw the shower did a
FABULOUS job! It was so much fun and well planned- so many cute touches!

Love my cousins!

Rachel opened our wedding gifts along with her other fun
stuff... and this is one of my favorite gifts to give for weddings!
Beatrize Ball... look it up. It's AMAZING!

What a fun party!!! Thankful for all of these ladies!
Now to get ready for a wedding TOMORROW!!!!!
