So very thankful for this Wednesday. Spent a few minutes this morning at breakfast with some of the ladies in my CP group and it was a great kick-start to the day. A little Chick-fil-A, a little laughter, and a little prayer. One of the ladies reminded us of Lamentations 3:22-24...
"The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; His mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; GREAT IS YOUR FAITHFULNESS!!! The Lord is my PORTION, says my soul, therefore I will hope in Him."
So very thankful for the reminder of the faithfulness of the Lord, and the fact that we have hope and satisfaction in Him. We don't need anything else. . . not anything.
Blessed and Thankful today!

Encouraged today once again-- prayer meeting at Crosspoint for CoExist and then Bible study. Encouraged tonight through Philippians 2...
So if there is any encouragement in Christ, any comfort from love, any participation in the Spirit, any affection and sympathy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, having the same love, being in full accord and of one mind. Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
(Philippians 2:1-11 ESV)
Thankful for the example we see in Christ: Humility. Convicted.

Thankful that God is so kind. Thankful that He is our loving Father and that He takes care of us. He's our Shepherd.
Psalm 23 has become a Psalm of comfort to me over the years. Last week my cousin was in town and we were talking about the concept of the Lord being our shepherd. Just as a shepherd cares and protects his flock, my Father is doing the same for me. He is my shepherd, protecting me, guiding me, providing for me, pursuing me when I've wandered away.
So thankful that today one of my sisters is with that Great Shepherd. Thankful that though we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we don't have to fear death because our security is in CHRIST and what He did for us on the cross. Thankful that Heather is now dwelling in the presence of her Love, her Creator, the One who knows the plan He had and will continue to have for her life and the legacy she has left behind.
Thankful that it isn't death to die, but it's truly the beginning of eternity in the PRESENCE of Jesus. I know I've shared this song many many times, but the truths are penetrating. Listen through this and praise Jesus with me for Christ. Praise Him that Heather is now free from pain and is in the presence of OUR Great Shepherd.
Thank you, Jesus.
Please pray with us for Kevin Burrill and their two little boys as they go through the grieving process. Pray for wisdom and strength, comfort, peace, and that God's reality will be ever present.

Thankful for repentance. Thankful that we have a God who is SO kind and gracious, who seeks to convict us. He's real, ALIVE, and working- and He desires to work in your life just as He is consistently pursuing me.
If you have some time, go check out the series on Joel that Ken Lewis is preaching at Crosspoint. It's been such a blessing, and so convicting. Thankful. Thankful that God continues to CARE for us by pricking our hearts and drawing us to Him.
He is wooing us... Hosea 2.
