Hardwoods are in... now for sanding and refinishing. It's been such a fun process and the house feels so different. It's like we've gone from walking into an old, stinky house to new construction. It's amazing how much change can take place with a little (LOT) sweat and updating.

For those who are following...

View of living room- painted and ready to sand. Notice the front door is black and my
hardware is updated. Thanks Mom and Ronnie... :)
(It's been very helpful to date an engineer!)

The beautiful designer :)... and electrician, and plumber, and project manager,
and painter, and HVAC specialist. . .

You can see they are in the process of sanding down the floor. The orange is going allll away!

Picture of the den

On the right is the finish that will be done in the house. It's actually just the oak flooring with a poly finish- no stain.
Below the diagonal plank of wood  is the old hardwood floowing, and the upper hardwood
is what they just installed. You can't even tell
a difference between the two once they are sanded down-- amazing!

I must say I love this ceiling fan. Just had to post a picture. :)
(Thanks, Dad. . . also an electrician, plumber, project manager, HVAC specialist,
Landscape architect, grass mower, weed specialist, . . .)
All the update I have for now. Thankful to see the brainwork come together!

THANK YOU to all of my friends and family who have spent hours and hours and hours and hours. . . helping me!

Happy Anniversary, Dad and Mom!!!

I'm so thankful for my parents and their example over these 31 years (though I've only known them for 24 years :)). I pray that one day I have a marriage like theirs. I've watched them over the years and I'll tell you I'm amazed at their love for the Lord first of all, and then their love for each other. Marriage is every day... it's ironing clothes, cleaning the house, changing the oil in the car, putting up ceiling fans, etc. And I'm thankful that my parents have continued to work together and have chosen to prioritize Christ, each other, and our family through the routine aspects of life. They are best friends- they really are, and it's evident every day.

LOVE my parents and want to wish them a HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!

This is the art work left in my living room last night... Bert Campbell loves Gretchen Campbell.
Some things never change. :)

Had the GREAT OPPORTUNITY to go visit Matt, Rach, Kathryn, Benton and Sarah (and the rest of the Grandview staff) in Arizona this week. Ronnie, Jon and I packed up our bags and enjoyed a beautiful trek across the country.

We were able to see a lot of exciting sights and experience many new things. It was so neat to show Ronnie the camp and to catch up with our family. Benton and Kathryn are just precious and growing like little weeds!

I hope to highlight different parts of the trip over the next few days, but for now I will leave you in suspense with this...

This was the drive to camp from Phoenix. Talk about a beautiful, unique, open sky!
Thankful for the last week of safety and fun... and also, very thankful to be HOME in Clemson!

Last week my family and some friends were able to go to a Laura Story concert in Belton. It was a TON of fun and a huge blessing! The neatest part is that Ronnie was able to reconnect with Laura's husband, Martin, who had discipled him in high school through Young Life.

What an encouragement- beautiful evening worshiping God in the Belton square!

A little blurry, but you get the idea! Such a talented, godly lady.

At the cute little depot- what a fun place for a concert!
