You know those people in your life who influence you so much and as you look back you realize the depth of that impact? There's a special man who God has allowed me to know who has had that impact in my life and I know the lives of many, many others.

In high school I had the privilege of sitting under Jack Dean for several Bible classes. Mr. Dean was so much fun- he always told us stories from his baseball career and then how God used circumstances to direct him from that career path into "full time" Christian service. Day in and day out Mr. Dean would teach and throughout all of his teaching the concept of the reality of Christ was incorporated.

"If there's nothing else you take away from this class, remember that GOD IS REAL." He drilled it daily.

If there is anybody in this world who has displayed the love of Christ, it's Mr. Dean. If there is anybody in the world who has demonstrated the reality of Christ, it's Mr. Dean. I'm so thankful that God has used this man to over and over again to remind me of the reality of Christ. The fact that God is real and that we can have a personal, intimate relationship with Him is astounding!

I am so happy that today Mr. Dean is sitting at the feet of Jesus, the one He loved and passionately pursued. With tears we remember great times with such a special man, but we rejoice that God has brought him home!  I love Mr. and Mrs. Dean so much, and thank God for their lasting impact on my life.

www.pinterest.com

THIS is the coolest site I have seen in a looong time! Jules showed it to me tonight and it allows you to  essentially have a "bulletin board" of pictures for all sorts of different events. For example, you could look up hair styles and pin them to a board called "Wedding up-do's", or you could put pictures of cute baby room ideas on a "Baby" board. While you surf the internet looking for ideas you can copy and paste the sites and pictures onto your pinterest board and you can consolidate all of your ideas into one place. It's like an online file cabinet which is GREAT because you don't have clutter clogging up your desk drawers. :)

Anyways, for what it's worth... look it up! Enjoy!

Today Daniel, Gigi and I made a movie for Benton, but for some reason I can't get it to upload. For Easter I bought Daniel and Benton "baseballs" which were actually peas, and then the bats were carrots. Daniel found them tonight (I guess we forgot to give them to the boys... oops!) and wanted to play baseball, so we did.

It was so cute to watch him try to hit the "pea". His hand eye coordination is that of any typical two year old. He would swing late or not at all, and eventually he gave up and decided to take the pea and hold it next to the top of the bat, then he would "hit" (or push) the ball to the ground. TOO cute! We think his chances of being a pro golfer might be a little higher than his chances of playing major league baseball...

 WE MISS YOU, BENTON!

Thankful that the kiddo's are safe out at camp. It's unreal what is going on out there-- growing up on the east coast, the concept of having to evacuate my city due to a forest fire is just a foreign concept.

I have had many precious memories at Grandview camp and am sad to know that the fire is moving through, but thankful that there was minimal damage to our actual camp property. The Lord has been so good to protect all of the summer camp out at Grandview.

Right now the fire is moving toward our new camp location (the camp site that is currently being built), so we are praying that the Lord will just stop the movement toward our new property. I know that God is in control.... even the wind and seas obey Him. So, we rest confident in the fact that all of this is happening for a reason, and ultimately that reason is to bring glory to Jesus Christ. I know several people I have talked to who are working at camp this summer have shared with me their burden to see opportunities to share Christ arise from this circumstance. That is my prayer. God has His hand in this and that is good.

As of now camp this coming week has been canceled. They will make decisions this week as to what the rest of the summer will look like. Obviously much of the summer is dependent on this fire and where it moves. Right now it's not contained and has grown to 140,000 acres... unbelievable.

Praying for wisdom and safety of my Grandview family! Thankful they're safe in Phoenix!

JDC... I'm just thankful for her.

I am also thankful for my mom and sister. I came home a day early from Charlotte due to lost keys at Carowinds (long story short... I came back early :)). They met me in Greenville and we just had the best time catching up over a rice bowl at Chipotle.

I also want to say that Little D is just so precious. He helped me unpack my car when I got in tonight, and he is just growing up to be such a big boy. I heard him walking down the hall saying... "one, two, one, two, one two." He's starting to really interact more and it's incredible to see the things he has picked up on. He's definitely a little guy you have to keep your eyes on as squeezing toothpaste onto the bathroom floor is his favorite past time. The most recent adventure was hydrocortisone cream... all in his hair. He just thought that was the most fun thing!

I am truly blessed. GREAT week, starting off with the Coca Cola 600, then some fun times in Charlotte with Karrie, and now time with my family. And on top of that, my family in AZ is safe from that forest fire (unbelievable.). Thankful to the Lord for all the good gifts He is CONSTANTLY giving me... even when I don't realize it or am too busy to notice His goodness to me.

So...

Buying a call is bullish, buying a put is bearish.
Selling a call is bearish, selling a put is bullish.

There are two ways to cover call positions...
  1. own the same stock in inventory
  2. buy a call... write one and buy one... when you call, I call!

There is one way to cover put writing...
 1. When you write a put, buy a put.

That's about all I know.

HELP! :)

I'm in Charlotte this week for a class I'm taking... and I'm just thankful that I'm able to stay with Karrie Elliot's family. I've just had the best time with her mom and cousins (she's been working and so we keep missing each other).

Thankful for this week... study time. I got lost today when  the instructor started getting into the nitty gritty of muni bonds. Sound like fun? :)

Thankful for a brain and that God is faithful... "Faithful is He who has called you, and HE shall surely do it."

I have an awesome God.
